1.Product Introduction

Cobalt & Nickel based alloys (non-precious) are used in the dental industry for making dental prosthesis. They are an economical alternative to Gold & Silver based alloys (precious) but perform well due to their mechanical properties and biocompatibility.

Elgiloy is a cobalt-chromium-nickel (Co-Cr-Ni) "Phynox". It exhibits good mechanical properties, high strength, and ductility, good fatigue life, and can be age-hardened. Elgiloy is ideal for manufacturing custom springs and custom metal stampings forapplications that require high corrosion resistance and/or low relaxation at temperatures up to 600°F (316°C).

Use in Springs ,Seal components, Medical devices, Components for watches, Aerospace applications, Petro-chemical applications,Marine engineering.

The alloy is first melted using Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) techniques. A secondary melt operation, Electro Slag Remelt (ESR),is then employed to further remove impurities and improve overall homogeneity.
