Product Description
Polyv inyl chloride, also known as PVC, is a polymer formed by the polymerization of vi nyl chloride monomer (VCM) with initiators such as peroxides and azo compounds, or under the action of light and heat, according to the mechanism of free radical polymerization. V inyl chloride homopolymer and v inyl chloride copolymer are collectively referred to as v inyl chloride resin.
PVC is a white powder with an amorphous structure and low branching degree. It begins to decompose at a glass transition temperature of 77~90 ºC and around 170 ºC. However, it has poor stability to light and heat. When exposed to sunlight for a long time or above 100 ºC, it decomposes to produce hydrogen chloride, which further catalyzes decomposition and causes discoloration. Its physical and mechanical properties also rapidly decrease. In practical applications, stabilizers must be added to improve stability to heat and light.
The molecular weight of PVC produced in industrial production generally ranges from 50000 to 110000, with significant polydispersity. The molecular weight increases with the decrease of polymerization temperature, without a fixed melting point. It begins to soften at 80-85 ºC, becomes viscoelastic at 130 ºC, and becomes viscous at 160-180 ºC; Has good mechanical properties, with a tensile strength of about 60MPa and an impact strength of 5-10kJ/m2; Has excellent dielectric properties.

It is widely used in building materials, industrial products, daily necessities, floor leather, floor tiles, artificial leather, pipes, wires and cables, packaging films, bottles, foaming materials, sealing materials, fibers, and other fields.
